Southern comfort food
4 cups flour. All purpose. Don’t try to get fancy, its biscuits.
2 sticks of butter, Unsalted, and I freeze mine first
2 Tablespoon baking powder, not soda, its not the same
2 Tablespoon sugar. I suppose you could add more of less, but this is what I use
2 Teaspoons salt. I’ve been using kosher coarse, but anything works. https://www.target.com/p/morton-coarse-kosher-salt-16oz/-/A-13170448
2 cups of cold buttermilk
I try to cut the butter up into as small a bits as possible. I’ve used a grater, and thats cool, but slow. The trick will be to get it into tiny bits, and melt as you cook and mmmm
Mix all that together. add flour and milk as needed to get it into a dough you can cut with a biscuit cutter.
Get them on a greased tray(s)
I use convection, @ 425 for about 14 mins, but that depends on how thick you cut them.
let them cool for at least 10 mins.
Mmmmmmjoy.
